    Going to start this one today, but enjoyed your Friday WSJ puzzle! Would’ve been better with no shaded squares :)

    Got going quickly on this one and then hit the brakes at about 60% completion. Had to google a few to finish it. Ashamed!

    I always enjoy a puzzle with a challenge word – one that you can’t really figure out until you have eliminated all of the other clues. This one, for me, was the drinking one. Never heard that before. I cannot complain about it as it did show up in my SOED. Is that a common term in your area? I never know which of my failures in vocabulary are due to regional language use and which are just the particular and skewed vocabulary of an engineer.
