Rows Garden 71 Harder — Solution
Rows Garden 71 Easier — Solution
If smooth and fun is how you like your Rows Gardens, you best check out Patrick Berry’s latest offering for the Wall Street Journal. The guy continues to amaze me. This one was one of his easier Rows Gardens, in my opinion, but it was still a lot of fun. Everything you should expect in a puzzle.
Back at ‘em again this week. For what it’s worth, I like this puzzle. The seed entry was B1, of course, and as far as I can tell it’s never been used in a crossword, so I’m glad to debut it. My favorite clue? I definitely have one, and it’s one of my favorite clues I’ve written, but I won’t draw any extra attention to it. Make your guesses (or name your own fave entry and/or clue) in the comments.
Enjoy!

Gotta be c2! Great clue. At least its my fave
C2 was my guess too; loved that clue. I have a problem with the word counts for the G clues. I’d say they are four and three words, not two each.
Great puzzle! Might be my favorite one.
Koolaid Kid and Beer Goggles and Cannon Fodder all in the same puzzle.
Congrats to you!!
I enjoyed H2, and both the answers in J since the end of 1 and the beginning of 2 have the phonetic spelling of my last name!
I think it might actually be D1, given Andrew’s previous comments suggesting his favorite pastimes. It is to his credit that the issue is in doubt; there are always a number of clever clues in his puzzles.
Good job debuting B1, and K2 was nice to see too. Another vote here for C2 as your favorite clue… I enjoyed it.
